Simplified Nonlinear Analysis of RC Columns Exposed to Lateral Loads

In this study, the monotonic and hysteretic behavior of poorly detailed reinforced concrete (RC) columns under lateral loads is simply modeled by SAP2000. It has been shown in literature that flexural, reinforcement slip shear deformations contributed to deformation. The responses RC due each these deformations, were determined. Under pushover loading, summed up create column. load-deformation curve from model used backbone pivot model. load- displacement curves obtained study compared with results experimental studies. SAP2000 good agreement are simplified instead using complex analysis methods.
